This Convair was originally delivered to American Airlines on 23 Apr 48
as the Flagship "Columbus"; it was later sold to Trans Texas
Airways on 20 Feb 61 and operated as a Convair 240 until May 67 when it
was converted to a Convair 600; This Convair crashed into Rich Mountain
in Arkansas on 27 Sep 73.
