The plan is to restore this DC-3 to its original condition

The Douglas DC-3, one of the world's most popular airliners is in high demand at any airshow. The American Museum of Aviation is working very hard to to restore this classic airliner veteran and we'll need your help to see us through this project. Our plans are to operate this Douglas DC-3 in its original paint scheme and trim as delivered to the airlines. When finished this Douglas DC-3 will tour airshows throughout the continental United States and will be displayed at many open house functions as well.

We, at American Museum of Aviation are bringing this Airliner back so the youth of this generation and future generations can experience the sights and sounds of the amazing industry which helped to shape this country. Sometime soon, thanks to your help, this Douglas DC-3 will be flying over your town or visiting an airshow near your city. Stop and watch it fly over. Point it out to a child. Be proud, because you, gave it wings!
 
 

Contribute $ 5000 to the restoration of this Douglas DC-3
to become a member of the "Flagship Club"
and you will receive the following:

1. Your name permanently displayed on a plaque inside the mighty Douglas as a member of the "Flagship Club" and helping to save this DC-3 from the scrap heap. Your name will also be added to the Honor Roll in our Museum.

2. Your own plaque engraved with your name stating you are recognized by the American Museum of Aviation for helping to save and to restore the Douglas DC-3 to operational condition.

3. If not already, you will be listed as a "Lifetime Member" of the American Museum of Aviation  and will receive for life our newsletter.
